Mission Statement
The primary objectives and purposes of the San Diego Math Circle shall be the following:
a) To promote independent advanced learning by students of mathematics and mathematically related sciences;
b) To organize math and science instructional activities leveraging community resources and our diverse local base of STEM expertise;
c) To invigorate math and science education in our community through the promotion of collaborative activities involving local schools and teachers;
d) To provide a range of math and science challenge activities for both identified competitive groups and for the broader community;
e) To serve as a community information resource and to promote student leadership and competitiveness from the local to the international level;
f) To conduct outreach in our local community and beyond through electronic means or through subsidiary groups or through collaboration with allied groups;
and to engage in other charitable activities as permitted under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Title 26, United States Code).
